A Quality Guy
McCurdy to succeed Cobert as CEO of Canon Communications
Bill Cobert has left Canon Communications, and I'd like to take a moment to praise him. I've only met Cobert a few times, but each time I was thoroughly impressed.
He did a terrific job of building Canon--a company I knew as a small player in West Coast b2b when I worked for a then-small player in West Coast b2b--into a powerful, valuable and eminently saleable franchise.
I take heart in the following grab from the Folio: article (linked above):
[JEGI's Richard] Mead predicted that after he takes a break, “Cobert will come back to the b-to-b world, he just won’t compete with Canon.”
I look forward to Bill Cobert's return to b2b.
