What makes GRID Media a better option than simply hiring a Publisher/CEO? How is GRID Media compensated? How long has GRID Media been in business? Does GRID Media own any media properties? What makes GRID Media a better option than simply hiring a Publisher/CEO? GRID Media's 'Publisher in a Box' solution allows a media owner to bring in years of experience and expertise for far less than it would cost to hire a full time employee. But GRID Media is not for every company. If you want to 'own' all of your employees, we're not the right solution for you. But if you want strong leadership and proven results, at a great savings, we're your option. Our goals are aligned precisely with those of our clients, and we win only when the client's business grows and prospers. We work with your existing teams, and can help you maximize these teams. We'll also bring our own team, as well as outside professionals, to achieve your goals. We're not a consultant, in the classic sense (though we sometimes do 'classic' consulting work). We don't come in, tell you what's wrong with your business and then disappear. We're there, working with you, leading your properties to success. How is GRID Media compensated? For management agreements, GRID Media works under a monthly retainer, with some form of annual success bonus (usually a percent of profit and/or revenue improvement generated annually from a mutually-agreed baseline P&L), plus expenses incurred in the fulfillment of the management contract (including travel and entertainment). All expenses would be pre-approved by the client company and fully documented in a monthly invoice. For sales agreements, GRID Media works under a straight commission, plus expenses. For consulting projects, GRID Media works under a variety of compensation plans (hourly, day rate, retainer). For training projects, GRID Media also works under a variety of compensation plans, usually on a per-session basis. GRID Media serves as an independent contractor, and is responsible for its own taxes (including income tax and self-employment tax) and benefits. GRID Media was founded five years ago, on February 14, 2000. In those five years, which proved to be some of the most difficult to face the media business in some time, GRID has been able to successfully build the business and profitability of its clients. Does GRID Media own any media properties? GRID Media currently holds a minority interest in Hollywood Aftermarket, a monthly newsletter and news service produced by Adams Media Research.
